Florida Department of Environmental Protection Selects CTS America

Release Date: 05/05/2008

CTS America, a public safety industry leader, announced today that the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has entered into a contract with CTS. CTS will provide the Florida DEP with its SmartCAD (computer aided dispatch), SmartRMS (records management system) and SmartMCT (mobile computer terminals) products as well as perform various technical services for the 150 officers of the DEP’s Division of Law Enforcement. Florida DEP will deploy CTS’ integrated solution statewide, throughout the state of Florida to improve officer safety, eliminate duplication of work, and reduce time previously spent on manual data entry.

“This is another great win for CTS and the State of Florida. We are incredibly excited that Florida DEP has selected CTS. Our experience with the Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Department of Transportation, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission proved invaluable in demonstrating CTS’ expertise at providing, implementing, and supporting statewide solutions. We believe that Florida DEP will especially benefit from the self-dispatching capability, officer activity tracking, and the integrated records management functions that our solution offers.” said Jim Benson, CTS’ Chief Operating Officer.
